Your life depends on a healthy heart. Whether you're recovering from a heart attack, heart surgery, chronic heart disease, or coming in for diagnostic testing, the experts at Union Hospital’s Cardiology Center are prepared to assist you.

Located on the first floor of the Boulevard South addition, the Cardiology Center works with local board-certified cardiologists to offer a range of cardiac testing services using the latest technology. Tests are conducted and reviewed by an experienced team of professionals who have served many thousands of patients.

With digital equipment and other imaging technologies, our patients receive some of the most advanced cardiac diagnostic care in the region. As a result, we can detect heart disease at earlier stages and diagnose it with greater accuracy so the physician can better guide the patient's treatment.

Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program

If you need to undergo treatment or surgery as a result of testing, Union Hospital’s Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program is a safe and effective way to rebuild both your body and your confidence.

The program is for people following a heart attack, bypass surgery, angioplasty, valve repair, congestive heart failure, cardiomyopathy, or those with a history of chest pain, heart disease and those at high risk.

Patients enter this program with their doctor’s referral. Small classes are held several days each week for up to twelve weeks. They include both exercise and education sessions.

Your rehab plan is based on your needs, abilities, and goals. You will learn to exercise safely on treadmills, cycles, and rowers. A rehab specialist closely watches your blood pressure and heart rate during exercise sessions.
